In a little less than 5 hours we had several windows repaired, insulated, sealed and painted
Sometimes you can repair a little rot, but not when it's this far gone!
This new sill will last for years to come.
Sometimes we never know what we're up against until we show up. This post was previously repaired by someone else and it was by far the strangest post repair I've ever come across. Not only was it an eye-sore, but it was also non effective.
Replacing the post with a new one or removing to and notching it would be best, but for a quick repair that looks decent and saves the client money, we built up the base properly so it not only looked good, but it was also strong.
Someone regraded the ground around this exterior porch and removed the harmful plant growth that rotted out the structure. We removed the sheathing, replaced any rotted timers and resheathed the structure. Before installing the house wrap we sealed the bottom of the wall with waterproofing compound.
